Longhorn beetles are important pests in commercial forests and exotic tree plantations worldwide, consequently leading to economic losses for timber producers and plantation owners.\u00a0Acacia, Eucalyptus\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Pinus\u00a0<\/em>plantations have been established widely in Vietnam for reforestation, wood products and paper industry. However, severe infestations of these three exotic trees have occurred due to longhorn beetles. The present study identified\u00a0Coptops annulipes<\/em>\u00a0Gahan, 1894,\u00a0Anagelasta apicalis<\/em>\u00a0Pic, 1925,\u00a0Desisa subfasciata<\/em>\u00a0(Pascoe, 1862), and\u00a0Cephalallus unicolor<\/em>\u00a0(Gahan, 1906) as four new longhorn beetles attacking\u00a0Acacia crassicarpa\u00a0<\/em>in Quang Tri province,\u00a0Eucalyptus\u00a0<\/em>hybrid (E. urophylla\u00a0<\/em>\u00d7\u00a0E. grandis<\/em>) in Bac Giang province, and\u00a0Pinus<\/em>\u00a0caribaea<\/em>\u00a0in Quang Tri province, Vietnam. The infestation levels caused by\u00a0C. annulipes, A. apicalis,<\/em>\u00a0D. subfasciata<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0C. unicolor<\/em>\u00a0were 16.8%, 29.5%, 39.2% and 24.3%, respectively. The damage indeces were 0.41, 0.85, 1.16 and 0.71, respectively.\u00a0A. apicalis<\/em>\u00a0damaged at the base,\u00a0C. annulipes<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0C. unicolor<\/em>\u00a0damaged at the lower trunk of host trees,\u00a0D. subfasciata<\/em>\u00a0infested the top of trees. This information is expected to assist forest owners and government authorities across the country in pest surveillance and in developing suitable management plans for these four emerging pests.<\/p>\n
